Starting this fall, Tahoma School District students in grades 6-12 will be expected to bring a fully functioning, charged computer to school. Last spring showed us that many students preferred bringing their own device to school, so we will continue to encourage that model, while at the same time lending Chromebooks to any students who would prefer not to bring their own devices.

The Tahoma School District is committed to ensuring that students have ready and reliable access to digital tools, information, and resources that support:

  • empowered learning
  • collaboration, productivity, and creativity
  • differentiated and personalized learning
  • opportunities to develop and demonstrate the District’s Future Ready Skills

We are also committed to being conscientious stewards of the community’s tax dollars. To meet our objectives for secondary students in the most responsible and sustainable way. For more information, please visit our Supplemented BYOD Overview and FAQ for Families.
