Sixth Grade English Language Arts (Highly Capable)
In this class students will read a wide variety of texts. They will write to inform, entertain, and persuade. They will speak and perform for their peers. And finally, they will learn to think critically and carefully about the sources they encounter in the real world. More information can be found in the 6th Grade English Syllabus.

Sixth Grade Ancient Civilizations (Highly Capable)
In this class students will learn to think like archeologists. They will make inferences based on artifacts and think about how geography affects the way people live. Students will also learn to think like historians. They will analyze patterns of cause and effect, make connections across cultures, and, memorize the information required to have an informed conversation about the past.
