<7th Grade ELA>
The goal of the 7th grade ELA course is to provide experiences that will enhance and develop skills and concepts in the areas of writing, reading, grammar, and communication. We will be using Into to Lit curriculum to dig through the following units and themes:
Unit 1: How do our actions define us? Novel study, Informative Writing
Unit 2: How do games impact our lives? Argumentative Essay
Unit 3: What can blur the lines between what’s real and what’s not? Literature Circles, Narrative Writing
Unit 4: How can changing the world change you? Panel Discussion or Documentary

The goal of the 8th the grade ELA course is to provide experiences that will enhance and develop skills and concepts in the areas of writing, reading, grammar, communication, and prepare students for High School. We will be using Into to Lit curriculum to dig through the following units and themes:
Unit 1: How do the challenges you face today help to shape your future? Explanatory Writing
Unit 2: Does technology improve or control our lives? Argumentative Essay
Unit 3: Why do we sometimes like to feel to be frightened? Narrative Writing
Unit 4: What can we learn from traffic events? Research Project
