Class Information

Course 2: 7th Grade Math
In this class students will
focus on four critical areas: (1) developing understanding of and applying proportional relationships; (2) developing understanding of operations with rational numbers and working with expressions and linear equations; (3) solving problems involving scale drawings and informal geometric constructions, and working with two- and three-dimensional shapes to solve problems involving area, surface area, and volume; and (4) drawing inferences about populations based on samples.

More specific information about the requirements for class can be found in here in the Course 2 Syllabus or in our weekly newsletter (this contains weekly HW, student of the week, a calendar with assignment and assessment dates and more).

Course 3/Middle School Algebra 1
In this class, 7th and 8th grade students will focus on major content strands that connect to their learning in the foundation for high school mathematics. Throughout the year we will be working on relationships between quantities, linear relationships, exponential and quadratic relationships, advanced functions and equations, and data analysis.
This is a high school level course and will follow the high school grading policy. You have the option to use this class for high school credit and to be included in your transcripts.
