Registering for 9th Grade

For current 8th graders, registration for 9th grade starts in March 2026. Tahoma High School will send information directly to 8th grade students and families. 8th graders will receive registration information and materials during a Stretch lesson and counselors from the high school will visit social studies classes on March 25th for registration presentations and in-class registration assistance. High school counselors will be here all day on March 25th and will be available during lunches to answer questions.

Schedule Changes

Choices made by students during registration are considered to be final. The courses offered and school staffing are based on the decisions students make during the registration process. However, schedule changes may be made on a limited basis for the following reasons:

  • A graduation requirement must be added

  • Administrative withdrawal is requested

  • Incomplete schedule

  • Duplicate classes/obvious errors

  • IEP/ELL placement issues

  • HiCap Placement

Any schedule change that does not meet these criteria is subject to administrative approval.
