Good morning!  Here is your News from the View!

 

  • In addition to the eight BEARS Buck winners drawn at the assembly, we’ve drawn five more winners for the week.  Please send the following students to the office during the last five minutes of Stretch for their prize: Silk Foster, Emma Miller, Lily Rice, Trey Shields, and Thomas Verner.  Congratulations to all of our BEARS Buck recipients!  We love catching students showing BEARS Behaviors!

     

  • The TERRIFYING TALES SHORT STORY CONTEST is happening again this year, so get out your writing pens or computers!  You story is due to the KCLS Maple Valley Branch Library by October 15th.  You may turn them in to our MVMS library as well by October 14th and Ms. Stillmaker will get it to the library for you.  For more information, please pick up a flyer in the MVMS library.

     

  • Other activities you might be interested in at our Maple Valley Library include:  Magical Crafts and Film Screening on September 19th from 6 – 9 PM, Mischief Managed:  Marauder’s Map Mugs for those over age 13 on September 28th from 2 – 3:30, and a Wizarding World Trivia Contest on Tuesday, October 1st from 7 – 8 pm.  If interested in any of these events please pick up a flyer from our MVMS library for more details.

     

  • 8th Grade Man Club starts this fall!  Get your calendar and permission slip from Mr. Bills or Mr. Kelley.  Our first is event is our Flag Football tournament, Friday 9/27 from 1-3pm.

     

  • Robotics practice is today and tomorrow in room 552. We will have practice every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

     

  • The first home volleyball match is this today starting at 3:45.  If you plan to attend the match, you must leave and return with a parent.  Good luck Golden Bears!

     

  • Homework Center will meet after school tomorrow in Room 210 with Mrs. Bogard.

     

  • Weight room is open tomorrow after school.

 

  • Lunch for today is beef teriyaki bites, rice and vegetarian egg roll.
  • Lunch for tomorrow is cheese rippers and baked fries.
